Our Technology team has 6 different departments: Information Security, Service Delivery, Business Enabling Systems, eCommerce & Marketing Technology, Data and Stores, Services & Supply Chain.

About the Location

About the Job

 

PetSmart, LLC seeks a full-time Software Engineer based in Phoenix, AZ, The primary duty of the Software Engineer is to manage the SAP Technical Implementation lifecycle including process analysis, design input, understanding of functional requirements, creation of technical specifications, code development, test script creation, unit testing, execution of code reviews, and associated documentation. Specific duties include: 1) Design and develop solutions based on business requirements. 2) Provide thought leadership in the SAP technical space working with Solution Architects, SAP Functional Team, Basis, Integration engineers, and business teams. 3) Design, build, and maintain efficient, readable, reusable, high performing and reliable code. 4) Develop solutions with an understanding of large volume processes/processing and a deep understanding of performance impacts, best practices, and approaches. 5) Execute in workflow configuration, development, testing, implementation and maintenance. 6) Utilize knowledge of Deep IDOC, Interface, and EDI. 7) Utilize knowledge of Articles, High volume SKU/Store transactions, Assortments, Price and Purchase orders in the SAP Retail environment. Technologies and tools utilized by Software Engineer include: S4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, Fiori and UI (SAPUl5)..

 

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer and Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and five (5) years of related, progressive post-baccalaureate experience. Experience must include three (3) years of experience, which may be concurrent, with all of the following: 1) managing the SAP Technical Implementation lifecycle including process analysis, design input, understanding of functional requirements, creation of technical specifications, code development, test script creation, unit testing, execution of code reviews, and associated documentation; 2) providing thought leadership in the SAP technical space working with Solution Architects, SAP Functional Team, Basis, Integration engineers, and business teams; 3) developing solutions with an understanding of large volume processes/processing and a deep understanding of performance impacts, best practices, and approaches; 4) utilizing knowledge of Articles, High volume SKU/Store transactions, Assortments, Price and Purchase orders in the SAP Retail environment; 5) utilizing the following technologies and tools: S4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, Fiori and UI (SAPUl5).
