About the Job
SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Digital Category Analytics is responsible for leading digital analytics and insights, supporting recommendations, and actions to drive the Digital business forward.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
- Leverage data to shape business strategies, prioritize initiatives and make recommendations to constantly improve the digital experience and optimize business
- Guide digital plan and forecast work across all categories in partnership with Finance, Corp Planning and MP&A
- Drive analysis to optimize the P&L and guide analysis to deliver on sales and profit targets in partnership with Finance
- Measure business results vs. forecast and incorporate into future forecast iterations
- Lead site traffic and conversion planning in partnership with Marketing. Connect insights across web analytics, sales and margin data to tell holistic stories around digital promotions and experiences
- Lead digital analysis for site merchandising, services, and omni programs to guide data driven decision making
- Uncover pressing business needs requiring analytical insight and scope/conduct analysis to answer critical questions; Translates analysis into actionable results
- Manage team of Analysts focusing on assigned categories/businesses. Guide team on analysis approach, scoping, prioritization, modeling, etc.
- Measure effectiveness of digital promotions and partners with site merchandising to plan promotions based on effectiveness and balancing sales and margin targets
- Communicate digital insights and customer behaviors to key stakeholders
- Champion an iterative, test and learn mindset across the team
- Demonstrate strong decision-making skills with an ability to translate findings from analysis into business strategies.
- Manage all aspects of performance and development of direct reports to encourage professional growth.

- Leadership background in digital/omni-channel analytics, finance, or merchandising
- Knowledge of the digital customer funnel
- Ability to understand and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to make decisions and recommend viable solutions

- Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
- High degree of internet savvy, with a curiosity and enthusiasm for digital trends
- Excellent problem solving skills – able to identify, analyze and propose solutions to various technical and business issues
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, “self-starter” environment serving as a catalyst for change and managing multiple work streams simultaneously
- The ability to understand and explain complex issues, but also clearly identify and communicate the situation at a high level
- Exhibit professional initiative and entrepreneurial drive
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft office applications, including intermediate capabilities with Excel and Word
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, Merchandising or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years working in retail, preferably ecommerce
- 2+ years managing direct reports
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Familiarity with enterprise data warehouses and digital data sources (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
