About the Team:

The Customer Experience (Marketing) team works to showcase our brand through the lens of expertise and love. They work to provide a personalized experience for our consumers backed by best-in-class, data-driven marketing capabilities. The Customer Experience team focuses across 5 departments including, Marketing, Creative, Digital, Communications, and our Loyalty & CRM team. Everyone brings his or her own point of view to create a unique experience for the pets and pet parents.


About the Job:

This position is responsible for campaign management selection and targeting of direct marketing campaigns. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally both within PetSmart and with external vendors to execute timely campaigns with little supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal marketing partners to define campaign goals, identify target audiences and exclusions, refine campaign logic and advise on control groups and schedule
  • Support implementation of modeling for campaign selection
  • Maintain campaign selection logic, generate campaign files and coordinate secure/encrypted delivery
  • Ensure contact management business rules are consistently followed when selecting campaigns, including PetSmart business rules, customer contact preferences, contact cadence and frequency and message prioritization and aggregation
  • Partner with internal marketing partners, CRM Marketing Managers and vendors to continually improve and execute efficient processes
  • Troubleshoot Deliverability issues with ISPs and specific customers
  • Weekly email reporting on engagement, incremental sales/revenue, and deliverability

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience utilizing a campaign selection tool
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Access
  • 4+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelors degree from a four year college or university
  • Experience working with multiple databases and understanding of how they work together
  • Experience working with large volumes of customer data
  • Experience performing complex analytics
  • High degree of initiative, personal responsibility and ownership
  • Expertise in managing multiple and competing demands/projects and delivering against aggressive goals
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical partners
  • Desire to stay abreast of emerging technologies and email marketing techniques

Preferred:

  • Experience with campaign selection tools, such as IBM (Unica) Campaign, ExactTarget Audience Builder, Responsys, Infor Epiphany, Business Objects or Cognos
  • Proficiency with SQL
  • Previous CRM, email marketing and/or direct marketing experience
