About the Team:

The Customer Experience (Marketing) team works to showcase our brand through the lens of expertise and love. They work to provide a personalized experience for our consumers backed by best-in-class, data-driven marketing capabilities. The Customer Experience team focuses across 5 departments including, Marketing, Creative, Digital, Communications, and our Loyalty & CRM team. Everyone brings his or her own point of view to create a unique experience for the pets and pet parents.

About the Job:

Video Editor & Videographer

Primarily responsible for filming and editing videos. As part of this role the candidate will be required to contribute toward concepting, directing and filming as well as motion graphics. They will essentially be the project manager for each video production. The associate will need to produce high quality material suitable for internal and external communications.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Edit video recordings to a very high standard to produce material for both customer- and associate-facing communications, events and community partnerships
  • Create and edit motion graphics to an excellent standard using a variety of software
  • Complete various filming techniques such as indoor and outdoor filming, ‘filming on the go,’ and interviews
  • Set up and operate production equipment including cameras, audio, video recorders, lighting equipment and microphones for location and studio production
  • Work closely with business partners to deliver creative and original ideas and develop high-quality scripts
  • Assist in creating interview questions and storyboards
  • Apply Photoshop skills to be able to create cut-outs, resize and save out stills in the correct formats
  • Archive existing video assets; create archiving standards for future use, such as naming conventions and file size/type requirements

Photographer and Retoucher

Responsible for internal communications, events and social photography needs, plus digital photography retouching with a proficiency in color correction and image enhancement. Requires experience with lighting and a strong eye for detail. Effectively able to improve the brand’s image and experience across all business and communication channels using a blend of product, still-life, look book, social, events and other general imagery.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead all non-marketing photography across the business
  • Work with our business partners and Social Media team to create relevant assets
  • Produce high quality images, correctly exposed and color consistent – in accordance with brand guidelines
  • Crop and process of all images, maintaining file size specification guidelines.
  • Archive images
  • Oversee care and upkeep of all studio equipment, props and supplies
  • Support ad hoc duties for events and campaign-related content
  • Demonstrate highest quality skills in recognizing color and understanding retouching language

Graphic Designer

Responsible for defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and signage at the request of business partners or to support business needs.

Graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. A creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design is required.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interpret design briefs/requests and determine requirements
  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
  • Develop illustrations, logos and other designs
  • Understand company brand standards ensuring final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
  • Work with internal and external print vendors on pricing and fulfillment of print files
  • Create meeting-themed collateral including but not limited to: signage, handouts, swag, apparel and PowerPoint templates

Qualification & Training

  • Candidates are asked to present a portfolio of original work (design, video and photography)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred in Design/Film or Project Management
  • A relevant qualification in video editing/videography/photography/project management
  • 5 years relevant work experience in a planning and/or event focused role in a corporate setting with a background in video editing, videography, photography and design
  • Must be able to demonstrate proven experience in video editing, filming, photography, photo editing and retouching

Skills Required

  • High proficiency in using Apple Mac & PC computers
  • High proficiency in using:
    • Adobe After Effects
    • Adobe Premiere Pro
    • Adobe Audition
    • Adobe Photoshop
    • Adobe Illustrator
    • Adobe Lightroom
    • Adobe InDesign
  • Proficient in Microsoft office programs (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Resourceful and enthusiastic. Able to work well within a team and when under pressure with a flexible attitude
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Meeting daily and weekly deadlines to prepare for new brand materials
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to deliver content to various social media platforms e.g. YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
  • Experience in editing both long- and short-form video content
  • Creative thinking, script writing, creative writing and storytelling
  • High-level experience with color correction, image enhancement, and retouching
  • Willingness to take direction and collaborate with teams to accomplish goals
  • A high level of initiative problem-solving and interaction with internal business partners
  • Ability to work well in a high energy, fast paced environment
  • Strong work ethic, results-oriented, and proactive
  • Organized, methodical and detail oriented
  • Excels independently and in a team setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
