Loss Prevention Team
What's it like to work as a part of the PetSmart Loss Prevention Team?
The Loss Prevention team oversees Loss Prevention operations throughout PetSmart. Each region's Loss Prevention team is responsible for providing front-line support to field management in the administration of Loss Prevention and inventory shrinkage reduction programs. The team conducts compliance reviews and ensures that appropriate action is taken to improve productivity.

The PetSmart Field HR team provides leadership and direction for the implementation and coordination of Associate Relations and Talent Management for the Regional & District Field leadership at PetSmart. This active group handles and supports everything related to prospective and current associates, such as recruiting, performance management, organizational development and training. Established processes, the backbone of this solid HR team, enable the team to:
- Work hard to find and hire pet enthusiasts for our Stores and PetsHotels
- Assist with developing our Store Management team
- Provide training to associates so they are armed with the tools and information necessary to succeed in their positions and develop career paths for moving up within the organization
- Work closely with the Store Management team to ensure a positive work environment
- Build relationships with local universities/colleges and assist in recruiting students into our College Recruiting Program
